Keeping People on their Feet

Making Porcelain Tiles slip resistant

Porcelain tiles look great, are extremely hard wearing but  can be very slippery when wet.  They can also cloud and lose their sheen with some non slip treatments if not managed carefully. GripFix has had much success in making them  less slippery using a very controlled application of GripGuard.  Commercial offices on the Gold Coast had concerns with slippery porcelain tiles in their foyer and GripFix was able to improve their slip resistance. Using an American slip meter GripFix measured a static coefficient of friction (SCOF) of the tiles which  were in the unsafe range before treatment and were in the safe range after treatment. GripFix was also able to produce a consistent appearance across the floor  with only a slight change to their sheen.
